Staff (very kind) and location (right in the square yet very quiet at night) were both great. The room was very spacious and the bed, sofa and chairs were all very nice. It was dated in the decor (wall paper and built-in cabinets) as well as the kitchenette appliances. The bathroom was large and open and very comfortable. The shower was more of a mist, but there was also a lovely jetted tub. My understanding is that they are refurbishing rooms so I'm sure this room is likely on the list. Though i didn't have the opportunity to dine in their restaurant, I heard wonderful things about it. All in all, a great place to stay. I'd definitely book there again!

We stayed in the hotel and it was a very nice experience. Excellent service, nice room with all the amenities. Place is old-timely and adorable. Hot shower. If your room is right next to the square, you will hear trucks throughout the night (maybe bring earplugs if you’re a sensitive sleeper). Other than that, totally worth it. Will book again.

Pleasantly surprised buy the food. Was disappointed last couple of times there. All four in party were completely pleased by meal. I had the pork shank and it was moist and tender with a great glaze. Looking forward to our next visit.

Room was very nice, good size, king bed seemed a bit small for a king. Light coming thru from transom window above door allowed too much light on while trying to sleep. But location and sure itself was awesome!

This place is awesome. We stayed for a night while in the area and couldn't have been happier. The room was really nice. Ours had a huge bathroom and shower, and a 4 poster bed with a very comfortable mattress. They have a restaurant on the bottom floor and a brewery in the basement. The beer and food were excellent. We will definitely stay here again if we ever stop by again.

First stayed at Altland House in 2010 when I moved to Hanover for work. Lived here for a month waiting to close on our house. Lovely stay, great food, wonderful hospitality. Coming back for a visit this weekend and booked a stay with my husband and two kids. Stayed in same room. Same awesome experience. Great renovations over the years but same historic charm. Highly recommend the Altland House Inn!

Very mixed reviews from our party of 4. The Caesar Salad was bad. The lettuce was old and the Ahi was much to salty. The Pub burger was good. The Grilled Cheese with BBQ was also very salty. The pub chips were excellent. Our waitress was very pleasant, but the food was overall disappointing.
